This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Festival of Trees at the Ford Community &Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, Michigan. It’s an annual seasonal event, held during the American Thanksgiving Week. It benefits pediatric research for Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
It features professional designed Christmas Trees. Visitors can buy any tree that they like, provided it’s available. Some other features of the Festival of Trees are children’s activities such as face painting, gingerbread villages. Children could also enjoy brunch with Santa.
When we attended on the weekend, most of the trees were sold. Yay for the kids.
It’s wrapped up for this year, but it is something you can do with the family to kick off the holiday season, in the future.
Here are a few pictures.
