Windsor’s Wedding Workshop

Getting married next year? Then you should plan on attending Windsor’s Wedding Workshop in the fall prior to beginning your planning. It will decrease the time spent on planning.

Windsor’s Wedding Workshop, winter session, was held at the Fogolar Furlan Club on March 4, 2010. The Workshop was presented by A Perfect Day Wedding and Event Planners and brought to you by The Wedding Guide, Windsor/Essex County.

With all the promotion that this event received, I had to go and check it out. Upon my arrived at the event location, the parking lot was full. As I entered the room, I was amazed at how a few chairs and some decorations can transform a room. See, I attended a Turbo Jam class there a few weeks prior.

As advertised, refreshments were provided however, it was more than I expected. When I heard refreshments, I expected muffins and some fruits, perhaps coffee and tea. To my delight, refreshments were being provided by Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge, Sweet Temptations, Renée’s Fine Cakes, Terra Cotta, Mongolian Grill, A Perfect Day Chocolate Fountain, Serrra Riviera Pizza, Smoke & Spice and Zehrs.

Before the workshop began, we had refreshments and were allowed to visit with the vendors featured. Some of the vendors present were Steve Pomerleau Photography, It’s Your Day Bridal Boutique, Dream Weddings by Veve (decorations) and The Entertainment Factor.

There were two unexpected vendors: Zipp-Lash 30 Minute Eyelash Extensions and Sweet Suites by Design. Ladies you are going to love Zipp-Lash. They provide 30 minutes eyelash extensions. No, it doesn’t last 30 minutes. It takes 30 minutes to go on. Here’s what I like: It only cost $48 and last between 3-5 weeks. They look amazing. Visit their website, for more information or to contact them.

Sweet Suite by Design stages the scene in your home or hotel rooms for your wedding night. Their site is currently being designed but you can fan them on facebook. You can view a clip of their display at the Workshop by following this link to our youtube channel.

Now to the workshop, the brides were provided with workbooks upon entry into the Fogolar Furlan Club. The workshop provided helpful hints on budget, questions to ask or what to look for when shopping for photography, decorations and trends in the wedding industry.

If you need further incentive, there are multiple draws throughout the evening and there is a cash grand prize giveaway. If you are getting married next year and onwards, I highly recommend attending the next Windsor’s Wedding Workshop in October 2010.

Happy Planning,
